The Chamber is proud to shine a spotlight on these outstanding leaders for their contributions to Saskatoon and our business community.
North Ridge Development Corporation will be inducted into the prestigious SABEX Hall of Fame. From the time the business started in 1983 to present day, North Ridge has grown to become one of the most influential construction and home-building companies in Saskatchewan. Entire neighbourhoods in Saskatoon exist because they had the vision and courage to invest in our city and actively contribute to its development. But North Ridge didn’t stop there. Wally and Colleen reinvested the proceeds of the business to support community-based organizations who contribute to our quality of life and help people turn their lives around. Their work and support of EGADZ stands out but we know there are countless moms, children and vulnerable people who have benefited from their generosity and commitment to community.
Zane Hansen, CEO of SIGA, will be recognized with our ‘Industry Leader of the Year Award’ to honour his outstanding contributions to our city and province, his leadership, emerged SIGA from the pandemic period stronger than ever. The organization has posted record revenue since then and continues to be reinvested in communities across the province.
Dutch Growers and the Van Duyvendyk family will receive this year’s ‘Family Business of the Year Award’. A family owned and operated business since 1953, which began as a nursery and has now vastly expanded into one of Saskatoon’s premier lifestyle stores. With offerings from plants, products of home, giftware, fashion, expert advice, and most importantly an experience of inspiration, creativity and knowledge for all who come through the door.
